Band Bio

Straight out of Brunswick’s bohemia come Rapskallion dressed in their decrepit finery with a glint in their eye and a dagger in their teeth.

Formed four years ago, by a raggle taggle band of renegade Melbourne musicians, Rapskallion have entertained audiences all around Australia and Europe with their unique fusion of contemporary vaudeville and raucous dance tunes.

Rapskallion are seven musicians and two circus performers that will inspire with their mix of quirky lyrics, physical feats and rowdy accordion driven dance tunes.

With a treasure chest full of musical instruments, and a flair for the theatrical, Rapskallion weave quirky lyricism into wicked waltzes, perky polkas, tantalizing tangos, and absinthe blues, reminiscent of 20’s Paris bohemia, transported to a Romanian tavern, and set adrift on the high seas.

Be prepared to laugh, dance, scream, and run away with the circus.

Think Tom Waits in a tutu, singing Edith Piaf songs through a megaphone, backed by the Muppet show band, on the film set of Black cat white cat.
